Olympia

I went to Olympia with a couple of photographer friends last night to shoot some night photography. Here are a few of my favorite images of the evening. The state capitol building is always so beautiful at night. I had fun photographing the fire dancers in the park as well.

Julea and Baby Gracie

This is one of my dearest friends Julea. She is the most graceful pregnant woman I know. I've seen her thru 3 of her pregnancies now, and each time she amazes me. It's as if she's not even pregnant all the way to the end. You never hear from her the normal complaints that all of us women whine about. And when it's time to actually have the baby, her patience and trust in God is astounding.

This pregnancy was especially special though, because this is her first baby girl. She allowed me to come to her house and photograph Grace when she was still only 3 days old. We had a difficult time getting her to stay asleep for the photos, but got some really good portraits.

Promise of warmer days to come

I spent the weekend traveling to Mt. Vernon to see the not yet blooming tulip fields. My mother came to visit my sons Spring Break from school. So we decided to visit anyways, even though we knew the tulips had not started blooming yet. The weather was gorgeous, and so were the fields of daffodils. I have so many pictures to show off, but don't have time now to edit them. I just edited a few of my favorites to show off. Can't wait till the flowers really start blooming around here. Spring is one of my favorite times of year.
