Oh wow... I've been busy

I know it's been a-while since I've posted. Sorry...

Hubby's been working out of town for 2 weeks now, and won't be home till next Friday. Makes for a hectic time here with two rowdy little boys.

We did have him home for the three day weekend though. It was so nice. We took a camping trip to Neah Bay. Very nice and peaceful weekend. Just the family and the dogs. We flew a kite at the beach. Ate Wall-eye that Dave caught after work in South Dakota, and went scavenging on the beach for cool little critters. Oh yeah, and hiked up to the Marymere water falls. So pretty...

Here's a few pictures from our trip and one of Vinny graduating from pre-school. He going to be a big Kinder-gardener this fall. Wow. I'll post some new pictures of a baby I photographed this weekend soon. You'll recognize mom. She was posted not to long ago with her cute little tummy.

Check in soon...

Congratulations Emily

This is a big Congrats... to Emily. She was the lucky winner of a free 11x14 and session, for entering into the "Year in the Life Album" contest at Garden Baby Boutique in Port Orchard. Plus she still has a chance to win the big prize. "The Year in the Life Album" this fall.

Emilies kids were a blast to photograph. Her little boy has the coolest blue eyes ever and her little girl is just as sweet as could be. Not to mention the new baby, only 6 weeks old. So tiny still. I love those precious little ones.

This is only a sneak peek of the session, but you can see her favorite hanging in the Garden Baby Boutique for the next month, until our next LUCKY WINNER gets her picture hung up there. If you haven't entered the contest yet, there is still time. Go to Garden Baby Boutique and put your entry in.

Amanda's Album

I know I already posted a few pictures of Amanda, but I just finished her album that she ordered of her senior portraits, and I think it came out pretty cute. So I thought I'd share.

Gina and ALL her girls

It was a chilly morning, and a little bit drizzly, but we toughed it out, and it was worth it.

This is Gina, and her 5 girls, plus a couple with Grandma too. What a beautiful locations to take pictures. The girls all look so tropical in their beautiful sun dresses, with their peticures. You would never know that it was only 45 degrees out and about to pour on us. HAHA. The narrows makes a great backdrop for portraits.

Gina, these pictures make me want to go to the Islands... I can't wait for some warm summer days :). Thank you so much for calling me and having me take your portraits again. It's been a pleasure. I can't wait to see the two new babies, we'll have to schedule another session next summer with the whole family again including the 4 grandkiddies.

Baby Chicks

So we finally gave in.

My 5 year old son has been asking me for 2 yrs. to buy baby chicks in the spring. Reluctantly we went and purchased a dozen chicks. Don't get me wrong. I'm excited about the prospect of having fresh eggs, and I like the idea of having a little farm out here on our 2 acres. But the obligation of feeding and upkeeping another thing is a bit overwhelming. It should be fun though, actually it has been fun already. Watching the baby chicks change each day is exciting. Especially for the kids. They've already started to grow wing feathers, and have learned to jump out of the box we have them in. It's really cute when they roost on the top of the box. The poop is a whole nother story though. They actually make a really fun pet, and portraits with them are awesome. Short lived but awesome.... Here are a couple of pictures we took. They will be great Mother's Day gifts for the grandmas....

Levi can't resist sucking his thumb any time he touches their soft downy feathers.
