I've Left Las Vegas

This picture was taken from on top of the Stratosphere.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I know I did. I spent my Christmas at my sisters, who lives in Las Vegas. It was my first time there, and I really enjoyed seeing my family, and the night photography. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the strip.

The Stratosphere, where we stayed.

Have a wonderful New Year.

The Ebat's Precious Gift

Kevin and Mary are this sweet couple that I've know for over 3 years now. Before they were married I used to always tell them they were the cutest couple I knew, because they were just so lovey all the time. I am so happy for them to be able to take that love of two, and make it three. They just had beautiful baby Zoey, and let me have the pleasure of being the first one to capture her beautiful face professionally. She is a sweet little doll, and I am very excited to watch her grow. I'm sure she is going to be a total sweetheart with loving parents like Kevin and Mary and with all the love she is going to get. Congratulations to you two and God Bless your new family of three.

The Barnum Fam

What a beautiful weekend we had. It was awesome weather for taking the Barnum family portraits. What a fun loving family they are. I felt an instant connection with them. Especially, cute little five year old Jessica. When I went to their house, she immediately grabbed me by the hand to lead me up to her bedroom, and it was no different out at the beach. She was leading me around showing me all of her favorite spots, even almost pulling me down a hill one time. Very cute. This family laughs A-LOT. They are just so happy to be... I love it. I think some of these portraits show their character. And yes, I promised Jessica that she could be a fairy princess if she was good for the family photos. I hope she likes it. hehe.

Mom and Dad aren't they sweet.

Some cute portraits of the Henke Family

Just wanted to share a couple of GREAT portraits that I caught of the Henke family last weekend. Although they look great in color, I love them in Black and White. I think the black and white really brings you into the personality, without the distracation of color. These portraits are going to make great artistic wall collection, to enhance the home decor.

Fun Night Photography

A friend and I went out last night to experiment with some night photography. I love shooting at night. There is just so much possibility with all the lights, especially in the city. We chose to go to down town Tacoma and it was a lot of fun. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the evening. Let me know what you think.

Gracie's Growing Up

Oh my gosh, what a cute little girl. Gracie, is such a happy little baby. Obviously very loved, and adored. She was happy as a clam thru our entire outdoor and indoor session. Never cried a peep, and smiled simply by looking into my face. I LOVE THAT. Baby's like this make my job easy. We were lucky enough to get a break in the rain at Point Defiance, and the colors were off the hook!!! What an awesome day...

Frollicing Fun in the Fall Leaves

I am just loving all the wonderful colors we are getting this year. It has been so fun photographing families out under the maple trees in all their splendor. The Orser Family have just the perfect homestead for taking amazing outdoor portraits. The old hen house, fences and mature trees make it an awesome backdrop. The girls, as usual, were cute as could be, and mom and dad were looking pretty hot too. These portraits are going to really going to bring some bright, fun, energy to the house, with all the yellows and greens, and are going to look great in the family album. It was really hard narrowing down my choices for the blog. There were so many great portraits, I can't wait to show them the rest. This was a really fun session.

Autumnal Sonnet by William Allingham

Now Autumn's fire burns slowly along the woods, And day by day the dead leaves fall and melt, And night by night the monitory blast Wails in the key-hold, telling how it pass'd O'er empty fields, or upland solitudes, Or grim wide wave; and now the power is felt Of melancholy, tenderer in its moods Than any joy indulgent summer dealt. Dear friends, together in the glimmering eve, Pensive and glad, with tones that recognise The soft invisible dew in each one's eyes, It may be, somewhat thus we shall have leave To walk with memory,--when distant lies Poor Earth, where we were wont to live and grieve.

Fun Abstract Art

I'm posting some of my fun abstract pictures that I created in Photo shop. I went on a photo safari a few weeks ago in the Broadway Center for Performing Arts buildings. We were allowed to go and photograph some of the areas where people don't usually get to go, like the attic and the basement where they store all the old props and costumes. I took some of my favorite images from the day and sandwiched them together in photo shop, and came up with some fun images. Three of them will be hanging in the Tacoma Municipal building on Market Street downtown, you should go and check them out, along with the other photographers photos. It should make for an interesting show.

Just a beautiful sunrise

While I was going through one of my clients files, I stumbled across this beautiful sunrise photo that I had nearly forgotton I took. It's so funny how often I'll take pictures of things, and forget all about them. I always think to myself that I'll do something with it someday, and then it gets tucked away into a file, never to be seen again. Well I thought to myself, this picture is worth sharing. So here it is. A beautiful sunrise that I shot on the way to a session one summer morning.

Enjoy.

The Jacobi Twins Turn One

The Jacobi Twins, one day old.

Watching this family go from anticipation of having their first babies, to now the twins first birthday, has been a fun journey. The year has just flown by, and the Jacobi twins are growing and changing so quickly.

I've so enjoyed getting to be a small part of this families life, and getting to know Rhonda and James, and some of their lifes struggles and joys of being parents.

This photo session was really fun. The girls are at a great age to be photographed. They are just beginning to walk and are curios of all of their surroundings. I just love this age. It's so fun. Mom and Dad always say that one is a little angel and the other can be a little devil. I think we captured this well in our portrait of them in their Halloween Costumes. But personally I think their both little angels, and I can't tell them apart to save my life.
