Slaughter County Roller Vixens

If you want to know a fun way to spend a Friday night, check out the Slaughter County Roller Vixens. These girls put on a good show. Roller Derby is no joke, and personally I think it's more fun to watch than a football game. Especially with the awesome getups they wear. The teams names are "The Death Rattle Rollers" vs. "The Terrormedixxx". The after party was pretty rockin too. Live Punk Rock bands "3 Inch Max" and "Jade 52" Rocked the rink with pink mowhawks and Funky guitar playing. Hangin out with the Vixens was cool. It was a fun night, and I plan on going to another Bout soon.

You can check out the SCRV at www.myspace.com/slaughtercountyvixens to get their schedule of upcoming events. I know they will be skating in Port Orchard soon. Let me know if your gonna go, maybe we can meet up.

Here's Baby Joey

I already put up some picture's of Dillon and Kailey, but here are the pictures of the beautiful new 2 month old Joey. This little guy is so sweet. He's very even tempered and easy to make smile. Morgan is very blessed, with awesome kids.

Dillon

I'm sorry, I'm sorry,

I know I promised I'd post pictures of the other kids soon. Here it is a week later, and I'm finally getting around to it.

Here is Dillon, he's a cute little 6 year old, with many attitudes. You can see here he knows how to put on the sassy when he needs to. He's also got down the cute little puppy dog eyes and a laugh that'll make you crack up just watching him.

This is a picture of Dillon and his dad from around 3 years ago, Dillon's dad is away at war fighting for this country. God Bless Him. Don't forget to pray for our heroes and their families.

Keep posted, I'll put pictures of cute little baby Joey up soon. Hopefully more quickly than it took me to post Dillons.

Levi's Girlfriend

This weekend my friend who moved away, and just moved back to Oregon, came to visit me. We haven't seen eachother for almost two years. She recently had a new baby, named Joey. He's around two months now, and she has an older boy, Dillon who is 6 years old. Dillon and Vinny are good buddies, who go WAY BACK. Then there is her adorable little girl Kaily. Kaily is just 1 month older than Levi, my youngest.

I really wanted to take advantage of the opportunity of them visiting and get some pictures of the kids. They are just adorable, and as you can see, they are very photogenic. I initially intened to put pictures of all three of them up today, but I just couldn't narrow it down for Kaily. So you'll have to come back tommorrow to see the other kids.
Oh the reason I call her Levi's girlfriend is because while I was editing the pictures on the computer, Levi came up to me and said "Kaily, Kaily", and I said "Yeah, there's Kaily, is that your girlfriend", and of course he responded perfectly "Girlfriend". Made me giggle. I love that boy.

More on Love

Here are some more couples that I have photographed over the years.

This is Charlie and Deseree. A very cute couple. You wouldn't know it by these portraits, but he was actually very shy in front of the camera. I liked how these two pictures came out though.

Many of you know Joanna and Terris. I have been photographing them pretty regularly since just before baby Tricidy was born. Keep posted for some cute newer pictures of Tricidy, coming soon.

Love Glorious Love

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought I'd write my blog on love today. These are a few of my favorite pictures of couples Iv'e taken over the years.

This first picture is of one of my favorite weddings I've ever been blessed to photograph. Their names are Fawn and Carlos. This couple flew to SanFrancisco to elope, and surprised their families with the news when they got back home to Mississippi. The only participants in this actual wedding ceremony were 4 of their friends, the minister, and my photographer partner (Susan) and myself. It was truly a romantic setting, with the fog rolling into the background, the sun about to set. I cried, and I didn't even know the couple before the day of the wedding. They were absolutly beautiful, and I'm sure they will have this romantic story to tell to their family and friends for years to come.

This next photograph, one of my favorites of all times, is of my husbands cousin Deanna and her new husband Lathan. Deanna was as a young girl, maybe 10 years old, a flower girl in my wedding. We watched this girl blossom into a beautiful young, responsible lady. She started dating Lathan while still in high school, and finally after he completed years of training with the Dept. of Forestry, got married. It was quite a long engagement. I am very proud of them both, and feel very privliged that they invited me to be their photographer at their wedding.

Snow Flakes - Reflections on Snow

Foot prints out my front door.

Snow Flakes

A Snow Flake fell upon the ground.
Soon there were snow flakes falling all around.
Those snow flakes fell without a sound.
And soon they covered, the whole town.
People are like snow flakes, all different shapes and sizes.
We all tend, to go our seperate ways, with seldom compromises.
Sometimes we stick together, just like the snow flakes do.
Sometimes we choose a different path, it's up to me and you.
Sometimes the wind takes snow flakes, where they don't want to go.
It's just the same with people, there are some that you might know.
But snow flakes have a reason, that they were put upon this earth.
When springtime comes and snow flakes melt, they help bring about rebirth.
So when you see a snow flake, falling from the skies above.
It's just another way that God, sends us all his love.
Snow flakes stand for purity, and on a moonlit night.
You can see the world, all dressed in winters white.
People are like snow flakes, some are big and some are small.
But don't think that there all alike, because they are not like that at all.
People just like snow flakes, have some differences you see.
But all in all there special, just like you and me.

An evening with Levi

Last night was different. Having two children, you really take for granted the time you get to spend alone with each. Dave took Vinny, my 4 year old, to the motorcycle races last night, which left me home alone for several hours with Levi, my 22 month old. At first it was just seeming like another night, but then I realized that I had an opportunity to get down on the floor and get some real one on one play time alone with him. Something that I often did with my older son, but rarely do with Levi, because Vinny's always down there playing with him. I really enjoyed the time alone, and it just made me appreciate him for being his own individual person, with his own individual personality. Here are a couple of fun pictures of him. As you can see he's quite the character.

South Kitsap High Class of 2008, Tricia Etue

This is Tricia. She's a super cute, class of 2008, senior at South Kitsap High. We took her portraits all over Gig Harbor, which is a really nice place to take portraits.

She brought all her pets to be photographed with in her senior session, including a snake, a lizard, a dog and a Guinea pig. We couldn't photograph them all together, of course, for obvious reasons.
She plans on going to college to become a veterinarian, which explains her love for animals.

Congradulations on your upcoming graduation Tricia and good luck to you in the years to come.

Gabriel with many expressions

I got to photograph many adorable kids this Chrismas, but this little guy wins the award for the most expressions. We could not narrow down a favorite to put into his "Year in the Life Album", so we ended up making a whole page just showing all the different expressions he gave us. He is really cute. I am definitly looking forward to photographing him in the months to come. Especially with his dad when he gets back from Iraq.

Welcome Baby Aisha Faith

This is Gary, Rebecca and Ronnie a little over a week before baby Aisha was born.

What a great way to celebrate the New Year "2008"

I want to give a warm welcome to baby Aisha Faith. This beautiful baby is a true miracle. Iv'e known Gary and Rebecca for around 3 years now, and I know the struggles they've went thru to bring this beautiful darling into this world. She is a true gift from heaven.

Congradulations to you. She is a precious little angel.
