A killer sunset to melt away the Blues...

So yesterday was probably the hottest day we've had here in Washington yet, this year. I have to tell you, I was feeling a little depress. I love to swim, hike, you name it, but having this cast on my arm really puts a damper on my life style. I know I'm sounding a little pathetic, I sound pretty sorry for myself, but let me get to my point. We took a nice drive out to Manchester last night. We just love the drive, and the park there is beautiful. It really helped bring my spirits us, being outdoors, and hanging out with the family, away from the house. On the way home though is what all made it worth it. There was a killer sunset. I literally just started shooting pictures out the window as we were driving home. I can't believe some of the shots I got too. Talk about bringing your spirits up. I completely forgot about how sad I was feeling.

Thank you God for your awesome canvas. You are the most magnificent artist of all time.

I also am posting a fun picture that I merged of Manchester and a sunset. I think it came out pretty cool. What do you think?

Tricidy LaRose

Still just a thought

Shhhhh..... New born.

Three months...

7 months...

Look at me now...

This is my friends daughter Tricidy. I have been photographing her since BEFORE she was born.... It is so awesome to get to document the stages of their first year. Babies change so much as you can see, and it's so easy to forget how they were when they change so quickly. That's why I recommend bringing them in for portraits every three months for their first year. She is so adorable now. She's getting these cute little curls on the back of her head, and she's just learning how to walk. Such a little sweetie.

A few more

No small feat.

Blogger only let me post 5 pictures so here's a few more.

Proof I can still shoot

My husband has been training for a new job this last week. Part of his training is climbing on the climbing wall at Vertical World in Bremerton for 2 to 4 hrs a day to get certified. Lets just say this is going to be an interesting job. Imagine hanging off a cliff and running a jack hammer, tethered by a rope, about 100 foot in the air. If that won't fill a adrenaline junkies needs, nothing will.

Anyways, he wanted to show the boys what he's been doing. So I thought I'd bring the camera along just to see how well I can get along with this cast on. Here's a little photo-doc of our afternoon. I think Vinny really conquered some of his fear of heights here. I was pretty proud.

NOt working at full capacity

For those of you that don't already know. I have been working at half capacity since Fathers Day. I flipped the quad going up a hill, and broke my wrist. I am finding creative ways to work with it though. I won't let it slow me down. My hubby took these great shots of me, sporting my cast, on the front porch. The Beautiful fuchsia was a gift from my pop on Mothers Day.

Off to Airforce Training

The Ball Family

This is one of those very special portraits, because it commemorates a young man, going off to be a hero. Tenna called me last week, and asked me if I could come out on short notice to take a family portrait, because her son Kemp was going off to Air force school next week. I was happy to find that we both had a day available that worked for all of us, and scheduled the session.

Of course this being Washington, there is just no telling what the weather will do, and so it was raining all day long. On my way to their house, where we took their beautiful portraits, I prayed for enough of a break in the rain to be able to photograph their session. God is good. He let up on the rain, just long enough for us to take some beautiful portraits around their gorgeous property. I am quite pleased with how they came out.

Many of you may not know this, but you don't have to be afraid to book your outdoor portraits because of the weather. Some of the best, and most flattering lighting, is when it is cloudy or overcast out. You don't have to wait for a bright, sunny day to have your portraits taken. Regardless of the weather, book your outdoor portraits.

This, I suppose, is a good time to announce my Summer Special. I am offering a free 11x14 with an outdoor portrait session until July 31st. This is an awesome savings. Not to mention outdoor portraits are so much fun. So call now before it's too late, and book your session. These outdoor session make beautiful Christmas cards too. "Now that's thinking ahead..."

New Year in the Life Members

I want to introduce you to my latest "Year in the Life" family. So you should be seeing a lot of this family over the next year. And I am so excited to be able to get to know them and their beautiful little girls.

The Orser Family from Port Orchard

These adorable little girls are so photogenic, and have amazing eyes and eye-lashes. Their smiles light up the room, and the camera seem to love them. Their sweet disposition can be seen thru their pictures. I can't wait to take our next session at their home on the farm, with their new Lab puppy. Keep posted to see those in a few months.

Baby Grace

I wanted to show off some pictures of the beautiful new baby I photographed this weekend.

Presenting "Baby Grace".

Congratulations Adam and Ondreya, on your new adorable little angel.

She is amazing and beautiful. So bright and alert. You can see her little face light up when she sees mom and dad. She surprised me with BIG smiles at only 4 weeks old.

These were a few of my favorites from the session. I can't wait to show you the rest.
